Originally a part of the Township of Livingston, Roseland became independent in 1908. Today Roseland is a well-planned, residential community with modern office complexes. Major corporations housed in Roseland include ADP, the Bobst Group, and Bellemead Development. In addition, several of the state's largest law firms are based in Roseland. It also features the 16-acre Walter Kidde Dinosaur Park, site of the smallest dinosaur tracks ever found.
